Dorothy Marie ColónAPRN, FNP-C, Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner

  • Board-certified family nurse practitioner (FNP-C)

What is different here

Three things that change the visit.

30

Minutes, every visit

Enough time to go through your history, your medications and the question you almost forgot to ask.

One

Provider who knows you

Dorothy sees you at every appointment, in either office or by video. Your history stays with the person who took it, because the same person is in the room every time.

Trained instincts

Emergency room experience since 2007. She knows what can wait, what cannot, and when to send you somewhere else fast.

Questions

Before you book.

Do you take insurance?

We are in the process of credentialing with insurance plans. Until that is complete, each visit is self-pay, and you get an itemized receipt. Your insurance can still be used for lab work at LabCorp, prescriptions at your pharmacy, imaging and specialist referrals. See the insurance page for details.

What does a visit cost at RareKare Primary Care?

Most visits are $125, whether you come to the office or meet Dorothy by video. See pricing for details. There are no memberships or plans to buy. Cash, card, HSA and FSA are accepted.

Which office should I choose, Sugar Land or Cypress?

Pick whichever is closer. The Sugar Land office at 7616 Branford Place serves Sugar Land, Missouri City, Stafford, Richmond and the rest of Fort Bend County. The Cypress office on the Northwest Freeway serves Cypress, Jersey Village, Copperfield, Tomball and Northwest Houston. You see the same provider at both.

Can I be seen this week?

Sick visits are scheduled the same week whenever the calendar allows. Book online through Tebra to see open times, or call the office closest to you.

Do I have to come in person?

No. Video visits are available to anyone physically located in Texas. Most primary care, follow-ups and prescription refills work well by video. Physicals and anything that needs a hands-on exam are done in the office.
