What we treat
What a sick visit includes.
UTI
Burning, urgency and frequency evaluated and treated. Urine testing when needed. Often handled by video for uncomplicated cases.
Sinus infection
Pressure, congestion and drainage that will not clear. We sort viral from bacterial so antibiotics are used only when they help.
Strep throat
Sore throat, fever and swollen glands. In-office testing when indicated, treatment the same day.
Pink eye
Red, itchy or crusted eyes evaluated in person or by video, with drops sent to your pharmacy when appropriate.
Ear infection
Ear pain and pressure examined in the office, with treatment based on what the exam shows.
COVID and flu
Testing, symptom treatment and antiviral medication when you qualify and the timing is right.

Can I be seen the same day?
Sometimes. Same-day openings depend on the schedule. Same-week visits are scheduled whenever the calendar allows. Book online to see the earliest available time or call the office nearest you.
Do I need to be an existing patient for a sick visit?
No. New patients are welcome to book a sick visit as their first appointment, and can establish ongoing primary care with the same provider afterward if they choose.
Will I get antibiotics?
If the evaluation shows a bacterial infection, yes. Colds, most sinus symptoms and the flu are viral and do not improve with antibiotics. Dorothy explains what she sees and treats accordingly.
How much is a sick visit?
$125, in person or by video. Any lab testing sent to LabCorp is billed through your insurance.
When should I go to urgent care or the ER instead?
Go to the ER for chest pain, difficulty breathing, stroke symptoms, severe bleeding or serious injury. Urgent care is appropriate when you need X-rays, stitches or care after hours. For everything in between, book a sick visit here and see a provider who will know you next time.
